Lara Croft's reboot sessions continue in the sequel to the 2013 Tomb Raider. Older and less stubborn than a broken shipwreck ever to appear in the game, Lara is now a tight-knit fan of the same desire to prove the lies made by her father, toff analyst Lord Croft. His quest takes him, just in time to set up in Syria, to the Siberian mountains in search of – you guessed it – a lost city and a powerful ancient artefact. He and Nathan Drake should compare notes sometime.
Just like in the last game, Crystal Dynamics has created a mix of precise steps to make "RPG-lite" character development, and give you all the motivation for survival. A good liner is a line, but it takes you to a few tricky places lined with side-challenges, challenges, and best of all, the Tombs' strange option: the secret ruins where you'll need to solve a complicated puzzle to unlock the powerful Lara's place. But first, you'll have to find them.
