Director’s Cut gives Vault Hunters the chance to take on Hemovorous the Invincible, a brand new raid boss. This colossal Varkid was the stuff of a blood-soaked legend for a long time, and now she has finally woken up. When you’re ready, head over to Pandora. Rumor has it that Hemovorous can be found behind a door that has been locked since then Border areas 3 started first. Perfect your physique, bring your friends and prepare for your most intense boss encounter yet! Only the greatest of Vault hunters can kick their butts and get top-of-the-line prey.
Elsewhere, you can help Ava solve some potentially supernatural murders. Believing she has stumbled upon an interplanetary crime thriller, she has asked for your help investigating some sinister events on Pandora, Promethea, Eden-6, and Nekrotafeyo. During this new series of story missions, you will have the help of some familiar faces and you will receive loot in the process! Expert tip: keep an eye on your surroundings. You may come across clues linked to the control center Border areas 3 Plot…
Not only will you fight a gigantic new raid boss and solve some creepy murders. Director’s Cut also includes additional chances of getting loot with three new vault cards. Once a vault card is activated, you can earn XP by completing three daily challenges and one tiered weekly challenge. With more than 100 unique challenges, every day will be a surprise! When you earn enough XP, you will unlock some unique themed rewards. The first Vault Card debuts today alongside the launch of Director’s Cut and features equipment and toiletries in honor of some of Borderlands’ most beloved fallen heroes. Vault hunters have a lot to look forward to. The second and third Vault cards will be released before the end of the year.
Completing Vault Card Challenges will also give you a new in-game resource: Diamond Keys, which unlock a room known as the Diamond Armory. Located below the upper deck of the Bridge on Sanctuary, the Diamond Armory is filled to the brim with tempting loot. If you want to learn more, go to borderlands.com for the complete explainer. Note that Diamond key can only be earned through gameplay and is not sold separately.
In addition to its rough gameplay and abundance of loot, Director’s Cut is also full of behind-the-scenes content including concept art, storyboards, edited content, blunders, and much more. Players can take a rare peek behind the curtain and see what a game looks like Border areas 3 is done with insights into never-before-seen content that can even answer a question or two.
But that’s not all! Today also marks the arrival of the Disciples of the Vault packs, a brand new set of Multiverse cosmetic packs. If you’ve ever wondered what the fate of any vault hunter would have been if they had joined the vault’s children, now is the time to see for yourself. The Disciples of the Vault packs contain entirely new character models – not just skins – similar to the Final Form cosmetic packs introduced last fall. You can access the Disciples of the Vault packs by grabbing Season Pass 2 or by purchasing packs individually.
Whether you want to pick up or not Director’s CutYou can still enjoy two helpful new machines, both free to all players. Crazy Earls Reroll allows you to replace the anointing of an item with some eridium (the rare purple element found across the galaxy). When you don’t know, anointings appear on high-ranking prey, enhancing Vault Hunters’ unique abilities when that prey is used or equipped. By rolling an anointing again, you can make the perfect piece of equipment even more perfect for your specific character build. Be warned, however: Crazy Earl can choose the new anointing and there is no going back (although you can always pay to re-roll the dice if you are not satisfied).
Maurice’s black market machine, on the other hand, is secret. There’s no word on where to find it, just that it shows up in a new location in the base game every week. It’s up to you to find Maurice and reap the rewards of the black market machine – think of legendary top-end loot and plenty of it.
And that’s it! Again, Director’s Cut is now available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S available as part of Season Pass 2. You can also purchase the add-on separately. Either way, however, you will need a copy of the base game to enjoy it Director’s Cut. Get out now and be among the first to conquer Hemovorous, solve these murders and tackle the first vault card.
