The coalition continues to enrich the content of Gears 5. After an additional single player campaign with the title Hivebusters At the end of last year, the studio will provide Operation 6. The latter is full of new features for multiplayer and brings some changes with it.
On this occasion, the teams have taken into account the feedback from players who asked for the duration of the operations to be shortened. So now each of them will have a duration of eleven weeks versus sixteen previously
First innovations in the approach
To start with, there are three new cult characters from the series! How to find:
- Colonel Victor Hoffman, figure of the CGU’s victory over the locusts and the URI. The man is also the founder of the Scorpio team featured in the Hivebusters expansion.
- Queen Reyna, a key figure in Gears 5
- Locust Zealot, born from an experience of Ukkon, antagonist of Gears Tactics, who combined the immulsion and physiology of a Kantus. The aim of its existence is to destroy humanity.
In addition, a new map called Speyer will be available. The latter is an example of life before the war with the locusts. Buildings with majestic interiors and picturesque squares shaped this fallen district. To give a preview of what to expect, The Coalition released an initial picture.
Further additions will follow and will be announced gradually by the studio. As a reminder Gears 5 is on Xbox One, Series X | S and PC available through Xbox Game Pass or can be downloaded for free with Xbox Live Gold.
