The Halo Infinite presentation at last E3 disappointed a lot of people … Not that the gameplay seemed bad, on the contrary, but the tech didn’t really bring honor to the next generation. Stripped graphics, rather rough faces … So much so that the “memes” didn’t have time to flood the web. The disappointment was so great that Microsoft has decided to postpone the release to autumn 2021.
I understand the wait must be difficult and I assure you that the team wants you to play it asap. But she also wants to produce something special … The Halo game you deserve … The team is making tremendous progress and can’t wait to share it with you.
Neill Harrison, Artistic Director at 343 Industries, indicates the expected improvements.
Many returns (note: after the presentation by E3) from the community were in line with our own findings. We are currently working on indirect light, material effects, rendering of vegetation and trees, clouds, details and characters. Feedback taught us humility and allowed us to outdo ourselves.
Microsoft’s flagship franchise must see a resounding comeback at the next presentation. The guy who makes us forget his past setbacks and gives hope to loyal and future fans.
