Microsoft acquires Smash.gg, to increase its presence in eSports

After purchasing Smash.gg, Microsoft managed to acquire one of the largest esports platforms in the world.

For the uninformed of the world of electronic sport, we tell you that Smash.gg is a platform dedicated to the organization of various eSports tournaments. Smash is also recognized for its tournaments in titles such as Fortnite, Soul Calibur, Brawlhalla, Valorant, Mortal Kombat

, among others. Now Microsoft you just bought the whole business.

On the website of Smash.gg, we can see a tab that warns, “Smash.gg has been acquired by Microsoft!”. Clicking on it we can see a message that says they will be strengthened by Microsoft, although they will remain a company “Independent”
