People Can Fly takes over Phosphor Games, establishing its seventh location.
People Can Fly announces that the PCF Group is taking over the development team of Phosphor Games with a newly formed subsidiary – People Can Fly Chicago, LLC.
Founded in 2009, Phosphor Games, LLC is a medium-sized, highly experienced development team led by Justin Corcoran, Jarod Pranno, and Chip Sineni. Phosphor is an unreal engine studio, and the portfolio includes titles like The Brookhaven Experiment, Heroes Reborn: Gemini, and Nether.
“A new chapter is being opened for our team” – says Justin Corcoran, CEO of Phosphor Studios.
“We are very excited to be opening a brand new Triple-A studio together with People Can Fly – People Can Fly Chicago. Our goal is to strengthen PCF’s presence in the US and to help build People Can Fly into a global brand. “
“The acquisition of the Phosphor Games team is simply an implementation of the strategy we announced during the PCF Group’s recent IPO. Given the large number of ongoing projects, we need well-trained, ambitious professionals to make our plans come true. ”- says Sebastian Wojciechowski, CEO of People Can Fly.
“Given the experience and quality of the Phosphorus team, I am confident that they will be a great addition to the PCF family and will fuel our growth. Welcome on board! ”- adds Wojciechowski.
People Can Fly was founded in 2002 and is one of the best AAA game development studios in Poland. PCF works in Warsaw, Rzeszów, Lódź, New York, Newcastle and Montreal. PCF has made a name for itself in the shooter genre and is known for titles like Painkiller, Bulletstorm and the recently released RPG shooter Outriders.
The studio is currently working on two other AAA projects: a new game for Square Enix and a recently announced, original action-adventure title for Take-Two Interactive.
People Can Fly made its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in December 2020. With the announcement by PCF Chicago, People Can Fly has increased its workforce to over 320 people worldwide.
