Sales and general sentiment for Cyberpunk 2077 will rise with the next-gen version, CD Projekt RED believes.
Despite the messed up launch of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED has sold a total of 13.7 million units. The money for 30,000 copies was reimbursed to the customers.
The next-gen version of the action role-playing game could further boost sales.
At least that’s what Adam Kiciński, CEO of CD Projekt RED thinks. At an investor conference, Kiciński said the Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5 versions will have a significant impact on sales.
The general mood for the game should also improve significantly with the new versions. Because Cyberpunk 207 was particularly negative because of its technical problems on console hardware of the last generation. That picture could change with the next-gen version, he believes.
So far there is no precise information on the release of the next-gen version or a corresponding update.
