Soul Calibur VI has just completed all of its confirmed DLC to date
Since its premiere as one of the best fighting games of 2018, Soul Calibur VI has not stopped including new fighters to his list, already in itself, varied of characters. The most recent of these was Setsuka, a veteran of the saga who made his debut in Soul Calibur III when it was launched in 2005.
Today we have good news for fans of the title. After several months of waiting, Bandai Namco just revealed to the swordsman Hwang, another great classic of the franchise, as the last playable character to join the title as part of the Season pass 2.
As you can see in his trailer, after 15 years, Hwang will return for the first time in the saga with a big change of appearance and under the mysterious title Royal secret knifer. For now, we don’t know the reason, so we’ll have to wait for their respective story.
On the other hand, Hwang it won’t happen alone. As usual, with the character there will also be some great news added to the title for free, which you can see here:
- A new setting: the ruins of the Col de Motien
- New items for the character creator (including several related to Tekken)
- A new classic outfit for Seong Mi-na
- New episodes for Mitsurugi and Nightmare

As we mentioned, this new addition signifies the end of the Season pass 2 of the title. Of course, at the moment we don’t know the future plans of Bandai Namco for Soul Calibur 6, it is therefore still too early to say whether a hypothetical Season pass 3 it could be a reality.
The DLC of Hwang, with all its content, will be published this December 2 2020. Also, if you are interested in purchasing the game, feel free to check out our ANALYSIS
