SEGA of America, Inc.
In Yakuza 6, Kazuma Kiryu will figure out exactly how much people are willing to sacrifice for the family – be it those ties through blood or attachment – as he examines a series of shadowy events involving those who are close to his heart . After serving a three-year prison sentence, an elderly and weathered Kiryu finds that his surrogate daughter, Haruka, has disappeared from the orphanage he oversees. The path leads him to his old territory in Kamurocho, where he discovers that she was hit by a car and is now in a coma. To make matters worse, Kiryu learns that Haruka now has a son to look after. Baby in hand, Kiryu travels to the coastal town of Onomichi, Hiroshima, to reveal the truth about Haruka, their son, and a sinister secret that the Hiroshima Yakuza are home to. From the unprecedented realism of the new surroundings of Onomichi, a beautiful, sleepy port city in Hiroshima Prefecture, to the latest development of Kamurocho, Tokyo’s largest red light district, Yakuza 6 is the ultimate iteration of the mix of grainy criminal history, hyperexplosive combat, and all the vices and distractions these places have to offer. Enter the “Dragon Engine” – Explore the world of Yakuza like never before. Yakuza 6 is the first current generation Yakuza title designed from the ground up for current generation hardware. He introduces the shabby Japanese underworld with detailed graphics, lifelike animations, a new physics engine, interactive storefronts, seamless transitions, and much more. Explore Kamurocho Reborn and the Picturesque Views of Onomichi – The hypnotic lights, opportunistic residents, and hedonistic distractions of Kamurocho look better than ever. Redesigned mini-games like karaoke, batting cages, darts, hostesses and the SEGA arcade have been optimized for maximum enjoyment, and novelties like the RIZAP Gym, Cat Café and Clan Creator are the perfect distractions after a long night of bashing heads! But it’s also time to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and play tourists in beautiful Onomichi. This quiet coastal community is home to lots of local activities like bar mixing, spear fishing (think action-packed rail shooters … with fishing), and much more! Drop the Bodies to the Floor – Yakuza 6 Kiryu is a 100% certified badass, which means he is a battle-hardened veteran when it comes to the art of street fighting. Although he uses a fighting style this time around, the best thing to believe is that Kiryu hits like a truck. Devastating combos and bone-breaking heat actions return, but now the Dojima Dragon can fill a meter to activate Extreme Heat mode. When activated, Kiryu glows blue and releases severe combinations of damage with his fists or any “tool” nearby. Full-Voiced Japanese Audio – For the first time in the series’ history, every line and dialogue is spoken entirely in Japanese. Let the series’ dramatic story and absurd humor unfold like an interactive foreign film experience.
