Apple has added the option to include a Radeon Pro W5700X graphics card when we customize the machine information at the time of the Mac Pro purchase. An exciting addition that offers more flexibility when preparing this computer.
More flexible, a customized Mac
With the introduction of the Radeon Pro W5700X as a graphics card option, Apple is giving us a choice among about eight configurations:
- Radeon Pro 580X with 8GB of GDDR5 memory.
- The Radeon Pro W5700X has 16 GB of GDDR6 memory (750 euros).
- Two Radeon Pro W5700Xs have 16 GB of GDDR6 memory each (1250 euros).
- Radeon Pro Vega II with 32 GB of HBM2 memory (3,000 euros).
- Two Radeon Pro Vega II with 32 GB of HBM2 memory each (6,500 euros).
- Radeon Pro Vega II Duo with 2 32 GB HBM2 memory modules (6,500 euros).
- Two Radeon Pro Vega II Duo and 2 modules of 32 GB of HBM2 memory each (13,500 euros).
The option to add a Radeon Pro W5700X, with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, at a price of 600 euros, great improvement compared to the Radeon Pro 580X with 8 GB of memory, also of the GDDR5 model.
It should be noted that this new card is available available as per purchase at 1000 euros, enabling us to upgrade the Mac Pro we already purchased.
Whether we are considering the purchase of a new Mac Pro or want to add other options to our existing purchase, the addition of this new graphics card will give us plenty to choose from.
