Apple Fitness + is the personalized training platform that Apple announced at its September event alongside two new iPads, two new Apple Watches, and the Apple One.

The good news is that Apple Fitness + will be available in the US on December 14. Along with the arrival of Apple’s training service is the arrival of iOS 14.3, iPadOS 14.3, watchOS 7.2 and tvOS 14.2.

If you are a lover of the fitness world and the Apple world in equal measure, you will undoubtedly be in luck, since the company has mixed these two worlds into one thanks to Apple Fitness +.

This new feature, together with the Apple Watch, will further improve your fitness experience with this device. In fact, the new Apple Watch Series 6 includes such tools as blood oxygen monitoring and an ECG app that accompanies the heart rate monitor that was already present in Apple Watch since its inception.

Apple realizes that their watch is incredibly popular as an exercise tool, which is why they decided to create a service that can also be used on iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV.

Your Apple Watch will collect data and display it along with the training video of your choice. You can track your physical activity in detail on any of your Apple devices with Apple Fitness Plus.

How does Apple Fitness + work?

Your Apple Watch will be used to track your training data. Then you will need another Apple device like iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV and download the upcoming app.

You will have at your disposal a catalog of videos with different training courses guided by different professional instructors. While doing your chosen class or workout, you can see your data, such as heart rate or calories burned, at the top of the video in real time.

Another function will be to set goals and receive encouragement notifications when you reach them. This will surely be one of the best ways to stay motivated to continue exercising in your everyday life.

Speaking of motivation: you can compare your exercise with that of other people who have done the same workout (only if you want).

What types of workouts will be available on Apple Fitness +?

For now, Apple has said it will organize workouts for 10 different types of physical activity. He also explained that new workouts will be added every week, which means you won’t get bored of having to repeat the same workouts every day.

The training will be in the following disciplines:

  • Heart
  • Cycling
  • Home
  • HIIT
  • Remo
  • Treadmill (walking)
  • Treadmill (running)
  • Strength
  • Yoga
  • Meditation

Will Apple Fitness + be available in Europe?

At the moment, there is no official date or statement from Apple that the service will be available in Europe. The service appears to be exclusive to the United States, although that may change if the platform receives the expected reception.

We will update this article as more is known about the availability of Apple Fitness + in Europe.
