Apple Music's competitive market strategy
Apple Music is facing its growing Spotify competition, which continues to expand its focus on original content and podcasting. Apple Music currently has over 60 million paid users, compared to nearly 125 million Spotify subscribers.
The recruitment of Bronikowski took place at an opportune time when Apple intended to continue developing its music streaming service. Apple has not provided an update to Apple Music subscribers since June 2019, so it is likely that the app is now close to 70 million or more users.
