According to the latest Brand Finance Global index, the value of the Apple brand rose 87% last year to $ 263.4 billion, a figure that leaves the tech giant in topped this list after five years, when it was overtaken by Amazon.
The results of the Brand Finance Global study take into account in their analysis, the strength of the brand, which is calculated as the effectiveness of a brand’s performance compared to its peers.
Apple begins the year as the world’s most beloved brand
According to the consultant, the result was a consequence of the company’s policy of diversifying into other products and services beyond the iPhone.
These changes include subscriptions and purchases in the App Store, iCloud, Apple Podcasts, Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Arcade. This New Year’s Day alone, App Store customers spent $ 540 million on digital goods and services.
Therefore Apple became the first U.S. company to achieve a market cap of $ 2 trillion in August of last year. And this year the projections promise to be even better, with a first quarter of records that will be confirmed this Wednesday, during the call for results.
