It seems that the wireless world is conquering more and more areas. In the case of audio, there are countless bluetooth headphones and not all of them are of the same quality and will not give us the same experience. At Moshi, they have experience in product design, in the use of materials and in the quality of finishes. and that whole journey was captured in the Avanti Air, headphones that stand out from the crowd in several key ways.
Design: comfortable and durable
Before I get into the design of the headset itself, I want to spend a second on the travel case they come in. It is a hard case capable of protecting the headphones from shocks and pressures. A cover with a zipper and a gray denim type fabric very resistant to scratches, stains or dirt.
Now we open the case and find the headphones inside. These Avanti Air are folded to fit inside the case, so the first thing we will do is turn the lower end to unfold its full length and be able to place them on the head. The truth is that this is a helmet which, in part thanks to the use of metal in its casing, they have a very elegant industrial design look and seem resistant over time.
As for comfort, which is a very personal matter, I must say that they are very anatomical and comfortable. As in the vast majority of helmets, the length of the headband can be adapted by sliding the headphones themselves into the metal fixing which forms the end of the headband. The cushion itself is soft and comfortable And, to me at least, it doesn’t put too much pressure on the ears, so they’re perfect for extended wear.
General features: USB-C charger and control buttons
Beyond the design details, in which Moshi is very adept, it is clear that these Avanti Air also take into account the performance and specification details. One of the interesting points is the use of a USB-C charger, which will give us universality in what are headphones that can last for several years at full capacity.
Regarding reproduction control, this is centered in the right earpiece. Next to the ear cushion, the headset has a double button for volume control on the back and a button for play / pause as well as invoking Siri up front. In addition, it has the button for the bluetooth link at the bottom, as well as an LED indicator for charging.
Regarding use, the headphones have a moderate sound feedback that indicates connection with the device, maximum volume, minimum volume and other common operations. Non-intrusive feedback that gives us information without almost capturing our attention.
In terms of autonomy, these headphones allow us a non-stop playback up to 27 hoursEven a little more depending on the volume we use, certainly more than enough for intensive use for two whole days without having to approach the charger. A charger that we should not be subjected to for a long time either, since 15 minutes of charging allows us a reproduction of 4 hours. Some values far above other similar helmets.
A brief mention of the system for turning the headphones on and off. Headphones are turned on and off with the bottom button It is labeled with the Bluetooth symbol. The truth is that once known it doesn’t matter, but I would have liked to see some more labeling on the button.
Sound quality
Now let’s talk about the sound quality. Before doing so, however, let’s remember that this is a Bluetooth headset, with the limitations that this implies. Having said that, the truth is that the sound quality of these Avanti Air is very satisfactory. The bass sounds great and the treble is heard with excellent definition. For my personal taste I have to say that at maximum volume the highs take up a bit more room than the lows than I probably would like, although that’s a matter of taste.
Avanti Air – Bluetooth on-ear headphones
Regarding the quality of the microphone, which is often neglected a little, it must be said that here Moshi has managed to do things well. Nail quality you would expect from a headset in this price range and specifications. When on a call, the truth is that we are heard clearly and without distortion.
All in all, it is clear that we are in front of some wonderful headphones. Comfortable, lightweight, beautifully designed, strong, with excellent battery life and great sound – quite simply, Moshi’s hallmark.
