Since WhatsApp had prohibited the transmission of a message to more than one person and prevented the use of the traditional method of copying and pasting other users, more and more people started looking for alternatives. Y another important method is Tragram.
Telegal's brief presentation: its benefits
Of course we've all heard of The Telegraph in some way, but let's take a closer look at this service. Generally, Telegram is described as a competing WhatsApp, but it is more than that and, at many points, i Telegraph experience is very high. Let's take a look at its strengths:
- Native apps for all operating systems: The Telegraph offers native apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, as well as Android phones and Windows computers. Anyway we use the Telegraph.
- Open source: All Telegraph applications are open source, which means that any security researcher can see the exact functionality of the application. By this we find that security flaws or unique behavior can be identified and corrected. Anyone with enough information can check the app from top to bottom.
- Cloud-based: The Telegraph uses a cloud of servers to operate. This means that we can turn the iPhone off or off and receive messages on our iPad or Mac in perfect balance. In addition, it is not even necessary to make backup copies, the information remains in the encrypted cloud only when we change the phone or uninstall the application.
- Privacy and security: The Telegraph does not sell advertising or user data. Its business model is supported by contributions from agencies that interact with other communications that respect our privacy.
- Encryption and metadata: As for encryption, it goes without saying that when we hear that WhatsApp has more secure encryption than the Telegraph, it's part of the truth. WhatsApp writes messages to say we only have the key, however it analyzes everything else: how many messages we send, with whom, how often, the application process, our location, information from our contacts, when we send videos, photos or links, all phone numbers and email contacts, etc. The Telegraph, on the other hand, has a (secure) encryption key for conversations when we are not using it Private conversation, an application option, but we don't analyze any usage patterns or personal information.
- Boots: In the Telegraph we can use Bots, small resources that we communicate in the same conversation to do a lot of actions. From receiving or sending Gmail messages, to twitter, gifs, or photo editing.
How to register and use Telegrams
It's very easy, the first thing we will do is download the app to the App Store. Then, when we open the app, we present ours phone number and six digits we will receive by SMS. And that's easy, we can start writing to contacts or search and subscribe to a channel, like the Applesfera channel.
From here the design of the app is very simple. We found it four tabs: Contacts, Calls, Conversations y Justification.
- Contacts: where we can find all the Telegraph contacts. We can sort through them the last one connected either in alphabetical order. Texting a contact is just a touch, if we want to start a private conversation, with the end encryption, we hold their name and select Start a private conversation.
- Calls: where we find a list of calls made and accepted. We can touch the button in the form of a phone call and a "+" sign to select a contact to call us from the list.
- Conversations: where we have a list of all the conversations going on. By moving from right to left at the top of any conversation we can archive, delete or delete it. By moving from left to right we can say that we have not read or closed conversations at the top of the screen for easy access.
- Settings: where you can see access to all of our devices, manage notifications, privacy and security settings, data and storage, appearance, language, stickers and get technical support.
At chat level, that is, during chat, app usage is very similar to messaging apps. We can attach any file or image using the clip at the bottom left then record audio notes with the right pipe. In addition, by capturing any message we may respond to, copy, report, report or delete it (for ourselves and our receivers), in addition to sharing it with other applications. Finally, to answer the message, we have to slide it a little to the left.
Today it seems that messaging apps have reached the point of maturity where technology is simple and the difference is in reliability and ease of operation. One thing is clear, there are more options than WhatsApp types, which, unfortunately, have more room for improvement.
