Earlier in February, Apple released the beta of iPadOS 14.5 for developers. A few days later, we already know a little more what the new update of the Software from the iPad.
But Apple didn’t just update its operating system Tablet with new features, but it also did the same with the rest, as it does with the new iOS 14.5 and the new macOS 11.3.
What features does iPadOS 14.5 include?
Apple will add the emoticon search feature already available in macOS and iOS. This is good news if you are tired of going back and forth between so many emojis to find the one you want to use.
Another unique change for iPad is that the Apple logo will be in the right direction when you start your tablet in landscape mode and have a Magic Keyboard or Smart Keyboard connected. Before, the logo was always displayed in portrait mode.
But other than that, there are some features that it may or may not share with iOS 14.5:
Controller support for PS5 and Xbox
The update adds support for the latest controllers from Sony and Microsoft. The DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5 and the controller for the Xbox Series X can be used to play games with the iPhone, iPad or Mac.
Unlock iPhone with Mask
One of the most anticipated features for iOS 14.5 is the ability to unlock iPhone using Apple Watch. It is a way to be able to unlock iPhone using Face ID using face mask. We don’t think it will reach the iPad, however.
Privacy Features
Before the arrival of the beta version, Apple had indicated that version 14.5 would focus on privacy. He also said it will change the way developers and advertisers can track users, which Facebook didn’t like.
Apple Card compartida
Another benefit that could achieve both iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 would be the possibility that multiple users could use the same Apple Card, which would be achieved through the Family feature.
When will iPadOS 14.5 be released?
The public beta of iPadOS 14.5 is now available, but for that you will need to know how to install the beta on your iPad. Once it’s officially released to the public, you can update your device in the usual way.
