The data on the MacBook Pro redesign wasn’t the only letter Mark Gurman had prepared. The Bloomberg editor posted another article with Facts about the long-awaited iMac redesign, detailing for the first time that it will look similar to the current XDR Pro display.
There are two models of this new iMac in the works, which are currently identified with the codes J456 and J457. They will equip the Apple Silicon chips, and they will be “one of Apple’s biggest visual renovations of this year
A “Mac Pro mini” and new, cheaper screens
In addition to the iMac, Apple would also prepare two (yes, two) new Mac Pro models
To complete this desktop line, Apple would also prepare a cheaper model of your XDR Pro display, designed for a not-so-professional market. Obviously it would have less contrast and brightness, but that would make this monitor a worthy heir to the Thunderbolt Display.
Looking at all of this data, it looks like 2021 will be the year we see a full Mac renewal. Not only internally, but also with new models, new accessories and new product designs. Gurman doesn’t give out any release date information, but we’re expected to start seeing all of that news starting this spring.
