My experience with the Harber London office mat
The first thing that was surprising was the care taken in the packaging in which it came. Then you just have to touch it and see it to be able to appreciate the quality of the product. In my case, I miscalculated the measurement and the base of my Mac touches the top of the mat, but as you can see in the photos, it still gives my worktable a very stylish and attractive touch.
The table is more protected (I already had a few marks of cups that were too hot not to have used a mat) and also, it is much more comfortable to support your hands when writing on the touch of the carpet than on the table.
On the other hand, the carpet gives the impression that everything is more organized. I’ve spent many days at this table since I’ve been telecommuting for many months, so having a more tidy and sleek desk comes in handy.
The upper part has a small hole to insert a cable in case you need it. If you don’t need it you will hardly notice it, it is perfectly concealed.
Materials and finish
As I explained above, if the price is expensive it is because the materials are of first quality (which automatically ceases to be so expensive).
The rug has been handcrafted with 100% full grain leather. This type of leather is more durable and, according to the company, promises to “age gracefully.”
If you look at the photos in detail you will see some marks on the carpet, this is nothing more than a feature of the good quality of the leather used, after all it is a natural product.
As we said before, the part that rests on the table can be chosen from two different materials: either a soft microfiber or a wool felt, as in my case.
The material is very soft to the touch. It comes off slightly from the leather part as you can see in the image which gives it a more original touch. The gray of the felt contrasts very well with the navy blue of my carpet.
In the lower central part, the brand logo is printed in a way which in my opinion further enhances the premium and exclusive quality of the product.
Verdict
In conclusion, I can say that if you are looking for a quality product that protects your desk and dresses it in style, Harber London is a highly recommended option. My experience has been positive and I doubt I will ever disappoint.
Obviously, everything will depend on your budget. If you’re looking for a cheaper option and don’t mind sacrificing quality or craftsmanship, there are cheaper options on the market.
