Change SIM

Remove old SIM card, insert new SIM card with new phone number, and make sure it is active, that you have coverage with your carrier, and that SMS activation was successful. Once this is done, you can now proceed to the next step.

Change of number

Now we can enter WhatsApp and access the “Settings> Account” menu and from there enter the “Edit Number” option. WhatsApp is responsible for reminding us that we must have the new Sim ready to receive SMS, and in the next step we will have to enter the old number and the new number. Click on “Next” and now we will have the possibility to inform our contacts of the change of number. It is optional, if you don’t want it you don’t have to activate it, but if you activate it you can choose to notify all your contacts, only the ones you have in a chat or customize the notifications . The groups in which you are included will always be notified.

Once this is done the procedure is almost complete and we can only confirm that the number we have added is the correct one, which is fundamental because We will receive an SMS with a code that will be essential to be able to complete the change of mobile number of our WhatsApp account.
