A few weeks ago we explained how IOS 13 has allowed us to install fonts or fonts on iPhone or iPad working with them on compatible word processors. Today and for all who are interested to know that they can do the same on your desktop computer, We'll show you steps to install fonts on Mac.
A great program is to customize our presentations
How to install fonts on Mac
- As is the case with iPhone or iPad The first thing we have to do is find the typeface we like the most and that we want to install on our machines. To find out, it's best to search for combinations of fonts like Dafont, 1001FreeFonts or Google Fonts among others.
- Once the source we want is selected, we download it on our Mac.
- Open the downloads folder and download the .ZIP file where available.
- Once merged, typing will appear in .otf or .ttf format, along with a document called I learned which includes the terms of use.
- Double-click on a .otf or .ttf file and a pop-up window will contain all the typing information.
- As a last step, you just have to click on "Install Font" and it will be automatically added to our fonts catalog on Mac (In some cases Bold, italic and others come in separate .tf files that we have to install individually, but that will be stored inside the same family).
We can find all the fonts we have placed on our machines using the "Typographic Catalog". Implementation of the program, where we can see its various variants and examples to test whether or not we want to use it.
