How to use the iOS Clock app as an alarm clock, to know the time

This Apple app will help you, for example, know what time and time in the world (most active when traveling), set alarms so you never arrive late for work or also how long it takes to do the work.

How to determine the time with a Windows Clock app in your country or another

Phone time zone may not be yours. You can easily change that by going to ‘Settings', followed by ‘General' and ‘Date and time'. In the “Horaria Time” section, you can choose your own.

You will see that at this stage you can choose whether you want the clock on your iPhone or iPad to be 24 hours or 12 hours. In the first case, hours like 8 will be marked as 8:00 and 20:00, and the second, marked as 08:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

How to set an alarm to use the Alarm Clock app

One of the functions of the Clock app for iOS is the alarm clock. You can set as many alarms as you want, apparently not only to wake up in the morning. The process is very simple.

1. Open the ‘Clock' app and touch the ‘Alarm' tab.

2. Tap the ‘+' button to add a new alarm.

3. Select the time you want the alarm to sound.

4. You can also decide which days of the week you want to be repeated (you can select all seven), give the alarm a name (message type), select the sound of the alarm and finally whether you want the option to slow down or not.

5. To edit an already configured alarm, tap the ‘Edit' button and give the alarm you want to change.

6. To remove it, however, tap ‘Edit' followed by the red button. You can slide it back to the left.

Snooze option means that when the alarm goes off for the first time, you can choose to turn it off again in 9 minutes. To prevent this, you must touch the ‘Stop' button. When you tap on ‘Postpone' or any other button visible on your mobile phone, it will be moved.

How to control your sleeping hours with the Clock app

For a complete analysis of your sleeping patterns, you have to trust a smart workman like Apple Watch. However, the clock app allows you to control to a certain extent the hours you sleep thanks to the ‘Sleep' function.

With this function, you will specify how many hours you want to sleep each day (which may vary with the days of the week) and at what time you want to get up. So, an alarm will sound, letting you know it's time to go to bed.

On the ‘Dream' tab, tap on ‘Start'. After that you will need to decide the following:

  • At any time you want to wake up
  • How often do you want the alarm to sound?
  • How many hours do you need to sleep at night
  • How long before you want to get a sleep reminder
  • What sound do you want with the alarm?

How to use the stopwatch in the iOS Clock app

Need a stopwatch? Apple also includes the clock app for iPhone and iPad. Its functionality is very simple. With it, you can calculate how long it takes to do the work, pause and restart your account, etc.

1. Open the ‘Clock' app and go to the ‘Stopwatch' tab.

2. Just tap on ‘Start' (green button) to start the account.

3. Tap ‘Lap' (gray button) to create more marks on the counter.

4. Tap ‘Stop' (red button) to suspend the account.

5. Tap on ‘Start' (green button) to follow the account.

6. Tap ‘Restart' (gray button) to restart the timer reset.

How to use a timer in the Windows Clock app

Finally, the Clock app also has a timer. You can use it as a calculator. You will be able to see the hours, minutes and seconds you want to pass until the alarm sounds to let you know that the time has passed.

Its efficient and very easy. First you will need to configure the count down and hit ‘Start' (green button). You can pause and restart it, select the sound you want to hear when you finish and touch ‘Cancel' (gray button) to restart the task.
