MagSafe dual charger for iPhone and Apple Watch is now on sale

oriXone December 3, 2020 No Comments

The MagSafe Dual Charger has been on Apple’s website for several weeks, but it wasn’t until Tuesday, December 1 that the company put it on sale. Or at least in Europe, because in Mexico it is still not available.

Introduced during the iPhone 12 launch at the October Apple event, the MagSafe Dual Charger allows you to charge your iPhone using the MagSafe system on the one hand, while on the other hand you can charge your Apple Watch.

This charger is priced at $ 149 in the Apple Store (in Mexico it will cost MXN $ 3,499) and includes a USB-C cable that you’ll need to connect to power. Of course, if you need a power adapter, you need to buy it separately.

Apple recommends using the 20W USB-C power adapter (25 $), for those who perform wireless charges up to 11 W. For charges up to 14W, it is more advisable to use an adapter 27W or more, such as Apple’s 30W adapter ($ 55).

Obviously, you can also go for a cheaper alternative option like Anker’s 36W USB-C Power Adapter, which at the time of writing is priced at $ 28.99 on Amazon and also offers two ports of charge.

Although Apple has mainly promoted the product to be able to charge iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time, the truth is that you can also charge any other device that uses Qi technology, like AirPods wireless charging case.
