After passing through some low-level phase, processor Mediatek begins to recover by first teaming up with various products to install their mid-range processors on mobile phones of this phase.
The new MediaTek Helio G70: the cheapest gaming processor for mobile phones
The new MediaTek Helio G70 is a mobile processor designed to play cheap mobile devices.
We've seen it with Xiaomi and now they will have a new processor to offer to the cellular manufacturers, the Helio G80.
A mid-range mobile game processor
When the company introduced the Helio G70, it was clear that its intention was to use phones where gaming power was important. He also did that on the G90, a high-end chipset but also focused on this type of mobile.
Now to do it a third time, with Helio G80, which is G70 but modified. Its two main cores stay at 2 GHz, but the sixth one ranges from 1.7 GHz to 1.8 GHz.
The remaining specifications are taken care of, from 4G connectivity, bluetooth 5 and Wifi 5 to support 16 Mpx cameras or 48 Mpx light cameras.
Not a big jump since the G70 but it looks like the company doesn't want to stop launching products, even if it has some minor changes.
