The presumption that Android is so glamorous since its inception is completely false, and the situation on iOS is even worse. At least that's what Tim Sweeney thinks, best known for being a leading video game developer Epic Games, Mother to celebrities Fortnite
During the Dice 2020 Summit taking place in the American city of Las Vegas, Sweeney did not hesitate to use his position as one of the best indicators in the video game field to try draw the attention of the companies behind the widely used mobile platforms -See Google and Apple-, for a purpose make the industry more open
Google is making it difficult to install Fortnite on Android phones, according to Tim Sweeney
During the opening ceremony of the Dice conference, Sweeney took the opportunity to jumpstart the Android platform "Open false system" due to Google's decision to place barriers in front of users who want to download and install Fortnite on their devices. Also, even though Epic Games seems to be trying, Fortnite is no longer available in the Google Play store, given that the company does not intend to allow Google to retain a good portion of the revenue generated by the videogame in the form of commissions.
The developer CEO in particular highlights initiatives such as the look of "Terrorist Popups" when trying to download Fortnite with external sources on Google Play. In them, Google specifies the risk of downloading and installing an app with a source other than the official one.
But that is not all. Sweeney also pointed out that, on iOS, the situation is worse than on Google mobile support. However, Fortnite is available for download on the Apple App Store.
