Sometime there forget your Apple ID password and asking the company to restart, you can expect to wait up to several days depending on the state of your device. In those cases it is not uncommon to see users lose hope and repeat the process of requesting a new password, something that may from now on have serious consequences.
Apple has updated its official support documentation for this, keeping the recommendation to start using another tool for password recovery but adds a warning: if too many password recovery requests are sent from the web, the company has the right to do nothing
Don't give up and keep your devices organized
Basically, Apple tells us that retrieving a forgotten Apple ID password can take days and it can't be too late to repeat a request multiple times. The only thing we can do is speed up the process turn off some of our devices, because in this way there will be no work that seems suspicious and worth noting. Otherwise, it takes patience without having to suddenly remember the password: using it to sign in cancel the recovery process and everything goes back to normal.
As far as I know the clients I have in my training programs, when it comes to rediscovering your Apple ID password, it helps a lot to follow these tips:
- Have two-step authentication on your iPhone.
- Keep your device's operating system up to date on the latest version you can.
- If the iPhone asks you to re-enter the password for an Apple account, do so. Ignore or slow down the process, because it means hardship in the future.
- If you forget your password and follow all these tips, you can reset it to your Apple ID settings using the iPhone. You only need to enter a device lock code, something you will never forget because of the pure practice of using it.
