If on the one hand the collapse of iPhone sales is feared because of the effects of the coronavirus, on the other hand the same situation has produced an increase in sales of Apple tablets. This trend is in response to the current demand for this type of home-based learning compatibility device, in which Apple positions itself as a leader in the field.
According to a new report by Digitimes Research in the first quarter of 2020, tablet shipments across all products have decreased by 33.6% to 24.7 million units. At this rate Apple dropped 29.1% year over year on a quarterly basis, while average models dropped 38.2%. But thanks to the resurgence of the Chinese food chain, all year long it will be a time of recovery.
The future looks promising for the iPad
Previous data suggests that iPad sales have risen earlier this year. This is due to the number of people selling e-learning during the closing of schools and universities. However, the company will significantly increase tablet orders in the second quarter of the year, according to Taiwan-based construction manufacturers, who are already registering an application cited for its product expansion on the part of Apple.
A few weeks ago, Apple introduced a the new iPad Pro that differs by the 2018 model, thanks to the A12Z Bionic, the LiDAR sensors and dual camera and of course its price. Since the launch of the device and the introduction of the trackpad and mouse support to the operating system, Apple has emphasized the power of the tablet, constantly comparing it to the computer, marking a clear advantage over other options in the market.
