Huawei today announced its new P40 series, and the graphics segment is one of the most important for the family. In recent years, the company has invested a lot of time and money into one of the benchmarks in this regard, and the P40 Pro is a great example.
Huawei P40 Pro: contacts and ideas
We were able to spend some time with the Huawei P40 Pro before launch, and tell you what we found.
We've been using it for a few days, and are currently doing an in-depth analysis. But before that, we wanted to highlight three aspects that have caught our attention in this mobile, two- and one-piece software.
Great sensitivity for better details
Many manufacturers are proud that their mobile phone has over 100 Mpx cameras. Huawei has indicated that this is not something the industry needs. The Huawei P40 Pro camera uses a new 50 Mpx sensor that allows pixel capture at 12.5 Mpx, but above all, the sensor size has increased. This allows it to get more light, and that means more detail, sharpness, and less creativity and sound.
This sensor measures 1 / 1.28 centimeters and uses less than 2.44 μm pixels. Along with the new autofocus system, it lets you take pictures quickly, with great detail and without the fear of being blurred.
Best shot of the night with a phone lens
Last year Huawei significantly improved the P30 nighttime photography class by replacing the RYYB matrix sensor with RGB instead. This posed problems such as irrational colors at times, but improved the low-resolution images.
Now the company has brought this technology to telephoto, allowing for better sharpness and more quality for this type of image. In fact, it is one of the drawbacks of this type of sensor, which is reduced to low quality.
Huawei P40 Pro camera for image editing
The last category is not about Hardware, but about software. Huawei has implemented a series of editing options on this mobile allowing us to fix some of the most common problems we have when taking photos.
For example, in photos we take with the glass shown on a part of the image, the system can reduce this, leaving the image clean.
In addition, when we take a photo of a passerby and the person passes behind, it is possible to delete it easily. This is something we've seen in programs such as Photoshop, but is now standard integrated on mobile.
As you can see, there is a lot of improvement in the mobile photography segment that goes beyond increasing the number of megapixels. Hopefully these features will be copied by other manufacturers.
