We have spent the last few weeks testing Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Xiaomi's first commercial phone to get close to 1000 euros (more than tests like the original Mi Mix and Mi Mix Alpha), a special mobile phone at an important time in Xiaomi's life. The company has grown and wants to offer more than just mobiles "Good for what they call" giving cell phones.
Good, and no excuses.
Have they succeeded? We're refreshing.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro: bases
- Has high performance: One of the differences in the main partition is the choice of processor. In addition to Apple, Huawei and Samsung, leading mobiles from some of the biggest manufacturers are using Qualcomm's best processor yet. This year is the Snapdragon 865, and like all new features, performance is the top choice.
- Default 5G: Like all phones with Snapdragon 865, the Mi 10 Pro is a phone with 5G connectivity by default. Currently network coverage in Spain is exclusive to Vodafone and the limit is limited (here you can check the current map).
- 256 GB of virtual storage: and UFS 3.0 technology. Too much memory and too high speed.
- Or SIM or MicroSD card expansion: While the lack of expansion
Split design
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is a phone that attracts attention especially behind it. Like most mobiles on the market, the screen is almost always dominated.
We have a chin in the basement.
Camera in top left corner. Very small gap in the mirror.
After that is where the difference starts. The unit we tested is blue, and in addition to being nice, the touch is soft and very nice to hold in hand.
As for the frames, they have a blue chrome finish. The audio and switched buttons are in the same position, instead of the one we think best. Large camera sizes are appreciated.
Downstairs thanks to a USB C port, microphone and one of two speakers.
Meanwhile, on the top frame is a powerful second speaker, another sound cancellation microphone again trailer hole. It is appreciated that Xiaomi continues to think about it.
Choose your adventure … from the distraction
In the upper left corner we find cameras. We have 4 sensors, 3 each in a row and the other one small. We've already seen this kind of similarly distributed distribution on the Mi Note 10, and it makes it clear that we're able to separate the high-end Xiaomi from the competition's dirty phones that have chosen a square or square layer to cover all its senses.
While different, choosing a sensor that is as powerful as the 108 Mpx sensor does the camera is very sticky. This causes an imbalance when you leave it in a visible position, such as a table. This design problem applies to almost all major camera mobiles in the industry, but on both the Mi Note 10 and the Mi 10 Pro it is overrated.
We have to take into account, however, that inequality will not affect you when you use a cover, since it covers even the size of the entire globe. However, for the touch to be so good, it also makes you angry that you have to put a lid on it for the obligation.
A platform for speakers it is a confusion. When you hold the phone directly, when you hold it you will cover it with both hands. The solution? Change your routine and rotate 180 phones, but that sets up another mistake. Xiaomi, at the launch of the Mi 10 bragged about placing a camera hole in a place where it would cover with your hand and completely submerged. In the current mobile design you will have to choose between covering the speakers or offering a proud Xiaomi experience. Not that it is a major problem, but if you pay so much for a mobile phone you can't go about choosing what kind of problem you want to deal with.
One screen pass and sound
The feature I have always loved about the best phones of Xiaomi is the value they offer to the panel. Xiaomi has never been able to excel by having a really good screen, but we consider the frequency to be quite good.
In terms of statistics, we have an AMOLED panel. Adjustment is FullHD + and its refresh rate is 90 Hz and a weak 180 response. In numbers, it lags behind its direct competitors such as Oppo, Samsung and OnePlus. It's the only major draw that can be placed on the panel, because the viewing experience is pretty much every day.
Automatic light is very efficient and its high quality is great for using a full day cell phone. The clever answer is not only perfect, but it also comes with a phenomenal haptic vibration motor. It was time for Xiaomi to place batteries on this one.
On a personal level, the curved screen doesn't convince me. Samsung pioneered this kind of screen with the Galaxy S6 Edge and year after year they have been slowing the curves of their flagship model until they gain full insight into the S20. Both Xiaomi and other non-Samsung manufacturers were 2 years behind the South Korean giant.
Part of Xiaomi's immaturity with this technology is that the software itself has had to adjust to customize how much touch space will not respond to our specifications. It's nice to have this customization possible, but it's also proof that a curved display brings more barriers to ionization than development, especially if the software is not designed.
There is not much we can say about the speakers. Aside from poor local resolution, they are outstanding in sound quality. Not the best (that the celebrity is the best of the house) gaming), but we can say that they are the best when it comes to premium cell phones.
Great camera
The feeling of photography is one of the key aspects of a high-priced experience. Image treatment with such integrated sensors requires a great deal of effort at engineering and software level.
Xiaomi already boasted when it created in conjunction with Samsung's first 108 Mpx camera we saw on Xiaomi Mi Note 10. The note seemed good to us in terms of photos, but the time when his Snapdragon 730G took photos left us feeling Xiaomi couldn't get the most out of this hear.
With the Snapdragon 865 and its large image processor, Xiaomi has the potential to get the most out of the Mi 10 Pro .. And even though we couldn't test the sensor much, we liked the results they gave. At the color and detail level the result looks very good to us. Both the 2x and 5x telephoto lenses maintain high detail in the photos. This is one of the unique features compared to the standard model, and it's beautiful.
A very wide angle may be the weakest point of this camera, and the loss of quality is noticeable when the light is not right, even though it is in great condition.
Macro mode is fun. All manufacturers who install it do well to do so.
The selfie is awesome. Sometimes you take great pictures, but usually a strong range is not good for difficult scenes. In addition to cleansing the face.
Fortunately, some Gcam models already give us a great experience with selfies (left, stock, right Gcam). Unfortunately, Gcam only works with the front camera. But at least you can use it for a good selfie.
In terms of video recording, we have the ability to record in 8K, although like Samsung we seem very proud of the possibility because it offers something special. 4K recording at 60 frames per second does not include stability.

Large battery with all possible charging
Xiaomi installed in this model a 4,500 mAh battery, much less than the 4,780 mAh. This ban may seem silly, but it makes sense to look at that
Aside from the battery capacity, something has convinced us that there are all the advantages of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro charging system. And that with diversity, we have many variations:
- Xiaomi features a 65 W standard cable charger that allows the Mi 10 Pro to charge at 50 W, charging 100% battery in 45 minutes.
- We couldn't verify that as our unit arrived without a charger, but given the battery power it seems like a figure that's not at all.
- One feature that Xiaomi has taken is to make your phone compatible with USB PD or PPS standards.
- What does this mean? that you can use chargers like your laptop or Nintendo Switch to charge the Mi 10 Pro faster. In our case we were tested with a 45W USB C laptop charger and in 1 hour and 10 minutes fully charged the phone from 15%.
- It is good news because the opportunities it offers: The original purpose of USB C was to provide a connector for everything, but if after that each compiler used a standard rating, you couldn't just go with one charger. Great success for Xiaomi.
- Wireless Charging:
- On the other hand, it is compatible with any Qi charger. Charging speed for most chargers (between 5 and 10 W) is not too fast, but it is useful in the evening (when charging is careless or slow, much better when slow).
- As an additional, Xiaomi sells for wireless charging outside the 30 W.
- As a last resort, it has wireless wireless return. Only using technology to charge a friend's cellphone (which can, but does not work properly) is not appropriate) where this charge is really tricky when it comes to charging accessories. Here's the good that Xiaomi could have
MIUI User Experience 11
With the price jump of Xiaomi, the Mi 10 Pro is probably the first Xiaomi mobile phone to attract your attention. If you are a big fan of Xiaomi, you surely already know all the benefits of MIUI, the Xiaomi customization layer has some features to review:
ShareMe is a file sharing app. Being on Google Play and compatible with any kind of solution is a great way to send large files between devices. It also helps us to connect to a computer and share files without using cables.
Game Turbo is Xiaomi's solution for improving the gaming experience. When unlocking any of the games listed, the system prioritizes the game's own processes to provide superior performance.
Xiaomi's licensing system is one of the best. We not only have standard Android settings, but more control over background apps and have permission to start them automatically.
Shortcuts for various actions such as using a camera, assistant, crack screen, shutdown programs or turning on the light. Important default setting if you have Xiaomi.
Important aspects of our favorite experience
- Infrared port: The wide-angle port became very popular over the last few years and all the good that the phone does. This route has been a while, but Xiaomi hasn't forgotten about it. Being able to turn on and control devices such as a television or air conditioner at home without having to switch to other home automation solutions is a good thing, in addition to the constant control of your remote. I realize that not all things will be used by everyone, but provides a value for the partition.
- Best sound: It may not be the most powerful, but its two speakers provide the best sound. Xiaomi has promised a lot about its new platform system, and has lived up to its expectations.
- Haptic vibration motor: Xiaomi has always been bad in this category, but for the first time installed a high-end haptic vibration motor. It's on the iPhone level, a product that has been around for years alone is the only consideration for this feature.
- Best use of Wi-Fi 6: Wi-Fi 6 (also known as ax-Wi-Fi) is the latest standard in wireless connectivity. Possibly, you don't have a router that uses this standard, but if you buy a new laptop that includes this wireless network, you can share Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro's 5G network with Wi-Fi 6 to take advantage of the high speed wherever you are. you're (as long as you have 5G coverage, of course).
- Fast charging and its compliance with the standards: Being able to carry one charger is always good news.
What we don't like very much
- The selfie camera left a very bad impression on us: The detail level is excellent, and it's appreciated when we enlarge the images. However, the software itself is awesome with light adjustment, with a wide range of flexibility and facial brightness. It's like taking a good picture and pouring bleach on it.
- System vibration is not compatible with Android 10 standards: not only that there is no floor bar, but also between touch and close, keyboard height varies greatly. When moved by the body you have to empower yourself to have the keyboard in a lowly humorous and unpleasant place.
- That the black mode can be programmed correctly, but the program is limited to schedules, where the beauty of this mode is that it is activated and activated in the dawn and dawn. Of course in MIUI 12 add a better thought process, but today with mobiles that is the case
- Fingerprint reader She's so cute, but she's so good. It is usually the technology of choice for the whole industry (except Samsung) because it is fast and failing. What I dislike about this technology is that when a light bulb goes out to read the print, something annoying at night. More than a feature or beauty of mobile is a matter of personal choice.
- That the device has wireless charging and Xiaomi headphones are new it's a missed opportunity. Yes, Xiaomi is already introducing headphones whose case includes wireless charging, but the model that came to Spain is charged only by USB C.
Conclusions: Xiaomi's handset is excellent, but it can be overpowered
Mobile is a sensational piece of information, though all cell phones for the price are. What makes the difference in this price range is the small details. And with a little detail Xiaomi seems to have a lot to learn. Not that Xiaomi forgot to scan the software for the smallest details, but that in previous editions all this little detail was left out because the amount of boxing data that competitors were trying to put into it. Now that they are in larger structures, these details are getting points.
If you are looking for the best phone ever made by Xiaomi with pure quality, the Mi 10 Pro will not disappoint you.
Xiaomi is superior in quality compared to the Mi 9 or Mi Note 10, and if you are looking for the best phone made by Xiaomi, the Mi 10 Pro will not disappoint you, as it shows that Xiaomi has to be among the best.
I really wanted to see Xiaomi when the price was no longer an excuse for errors. The Mi 10 Pro is the first cellphone to cross that line, which is why we've been so intrigued by every little detail. After seeing how Xiaomi appears every year, we expect that they will gradually find a team that will be 100% competitive and complete, for no reason.
The big question with this mobile (and in fact all this wave of new 1000 euros) how Xiaomi's renewal policy will be with this model. With regard to Android updates, Xiaomi is on the line with other manufacturers in their mobile stores, but it also raises a key question:
How long should I save for Android updates? Because spending 1000 euros for the next year has to wait for months to have the latest version of Android and next time you don't get the update it seems to us a good point that all these good phones should be worth asking. Because if you cost the same for an iPhone and upgrade half, being up to date will cost you twice as much.
