this week on Apple TV +

oriXone December 18, 2020 No Comments

The cancellation of the Gawker-based series due to Tim Cook’s table punch wasn’t the only news we’ve had in Apple TV +’s orbit this week. They were days of rumors and signatures, so let’s see what we find by putting the news together in our weekly list like we usually do every Friday.

Ex-cons, superstars and haunting dolls

We start by showing the trailer for “Palmer”, the movie starring Justin Timberlake which premieres on Apple TV + on January 29. We see Timberlake playing an ex-convict who tries to find a normal life and who must take care of a minor abandoned by his parents.

Then we have this other trailer for the Billie Eilish documentary, which will be called ‘Billie Eilish: The world is a bit hazy’. With her we will see the singer’s personal history from her origins, and we will do so on February 26, 2021.

From here we have transfer news: Variety reports exclusively on the possible hiring of two John Lasseter films for Apple TV +, called “Chance” and “Spellbound”. Both films are produced by Skydance Animation.

“Luck” will be about the adventures of the most unlucky girl in the world after discovering a magical world and a power “more than luck itself

“According to the source.” Spellbound “will be a musical in which a protagonist attempts to reunite a kingdom that has been divided in two again. The plan was to release the films in November 2021 and February 2022, although this hiring and the course of the pandemic may change. the plans.

 Samuel L. Jackson

And finally we know, also from Variety, that Samuel L. Jackson will have a series on Apple TV +. Will be called ‘The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray’It will have six chapters and will be based on a novel of the same name written by Walter Mosley. Everything will revolve around Ptolemy, a 91-year-old ex-convict forgotten by his family who sees his dementia improve when he meets a 17-year-old girl named Robyn.

One last information: although the second season has not yet been released, we can already officially say that Apple has renewed ‘Servant’ for a third season. The series has attracted its audience and therefore M. Night Shyalaman will continue to work to create more episodes.
