For a week now we know that one of the next news from WhatsApp It will be about being able to play vocal notes at a higher speed, but so far this new feature has been a mystery.
It was not clear how the interface of the new note reader will be, more importantly, what speeds will be available. Two doubts that have been resolved with the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android.
These will be WhatsApp’s new voice notes
This feature is still in development and not available to users, but version 2.21.6.11 of WhatsApp Beta hides in its source code the new note reading and the guys at WABetaInfo managed to show us a preview.
The only change in the note player interface is that the microphone icon has been changed to play speed button with the design of a blue pill.
📝 WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.6.11: what’s new?

As you can imagine, by default, the playback speed is 1.0 X, at normal speed, but by pressing the button we will increase the playback speed to 1.5 X
Therefore, if the thing does not change, WhatsApp will allow us read three-speed voice memos, something handy for those long voice memos that we sometimes get. This feature is expected to arrive on WhatsApp in the coming weeks.
