One of the issues highlighted in the past days was a slight error in the system Search my phone of Samsung devices. This error has shown the world a startling notice that has raised concerns for many users (including us).
In case you didn't remember, this notification showed that the function was used Search my phone, next to the message 1 – 1. From the first minute we contacted Samsung, confirming that it was a technical error made by a small group of users and that it was not accidental. Looks like the error has more value than expected.
Samsung was harassed and sent this unique notification to everyone who went to the toilet
Samsung has sent a surprise announcement "Search my phone" to all users, is it a simple mistake or is anyone logging in to my account?
Samsung's mysterious notice of mature user data
As the Register has learned, this notification error had additional problems, and it seems that, in recent days, two problems have been identified for this service. First, this notification is also accessible to users who had a feature disabled. On the other hand, there were also data leaks based on this error.
The register contacted Samsung, receiving the following information from a company spokesman:
«A technical error has resulted in a small number of users having access to other users' information. As soon as we saw the incident, we withdrew the possibility of accessing the store on our website until the problem was resolved. We will soon be contacting those involved to show more details »
Sometimes these kinds of mistakes are unavoidable, and as it happens today at Samsung tomorrow it can happen to any company. Samsung's reaction, however, is an example of how to proceed properly. When an error occurs that identifies user information, the affected function is removed and the affected users are identified.
Do I have to change my password once I receive a notification? If your information is not working correctly you will receive an email from Samsung, but in these cases we always recommend a password change, even if our data is not sorted. As an additional step, we also recommend switching accounts where you have the same email and password to your Samsung account.
From Android Free we have contacted Samsung Spain to confirm the details of the register. We will review the article if we have any official statements.
