Most modern televisions are smart, that is, we can install third-party apps and services. This is really functional and free, but they also provide a door for children in content that is not always appropriate for them.
One of the main shortcomings Android TV does not have separate user profiles, something we do is available on mobile phones, which often makes little sense because there is only one person. Home on the same television using the whole family.
That’s why the latest update to Xiaomi’s television use, Patchwall, introduces an exciting change.
Xiaomi TVs now have baby mode
Xiaomi is one of the few companies that is changing the interface not only for their Android phones, but also their televisions. We discussed it when analyzing the 55-inch Xiaomi Mi TV.
This interaction is now being updated with features we don’t have on Android TV, such as content management mode designed for minors. The important features are:
- Parental lock.
- Banned search.
- Selecting content.
- Educational content.
The new update has been officially launched in India, where Xiaomi is the best-selling smart TV company. We do not know if it will arrive in Spain, but given that the products in this category work the same, Patchwall, it can be trusted that this is possible.
