TSMC's positive agenda seems to open doors to a good year for 2020. In April of last year we saw how the supplier had claimed to be capable of making 6-nanometer technology chips, and now there are new rumors saying TSMC will be responsible for making the A14 chip to be carried by the next iPhone
In fact the source suggests that the A14 chip shall be made in 5 nanometers, in order for some development to have to be in the production process to be realized. The mass production of chips will start in the second quarter this year, culminating in the launch of an iPhone called September.
Up to six new iPhone
The fact that the following iPhone chips have only 5 nanometers transistors is absurd. The A12 and A13 chip are made up of 7 nanometer transistors, so if the A14 is reduced by 2 nanometers that size will mean more transistors in the same area as the power consumption. Main result: fast and effective devices
In addition to the data on the chip, from PatentApple they speculate that this year's iPhone range could be access up to six models and one of them can include AirPods as usual. We should start seeing this new range in two or three months, when Apple is said to be introducing a new generation of iPhone SE.
