The basis of a video game is interaction. It is the characteristic that defines and differentiates it from other leisure sectors such as cinema or series. But also, a game is not only its mechanics, but also the setting that surrounds it and gives it context. Often adventure games empower exploration with collectibles and other useful objects to improve. And yet, there are many details that escape us well because we have overlooked it or because there is intent to hide it. Video games hide secrets where you least expect itAlthough today we are going to tell you about the waterfalls that you have to visit to find a surprise.
Throughout history, video games have hidden tricks and easter eggs. You have to go back to 1977 to find the first easter egg in an arcade game machine that had a suspect similar to the Star Trek Enterprise. Better known would be the Konami code, initially created for the NES Gradius game, with which you could get all the improvements to the game. However, today secrets are more accessible
Uncharted 4: The Thief's End
The last installment of Uncharted took Nathan and his brother Sam to Madagascar, an incredible setting where we could drive a jeep. It is one of the most beautiful settings in the game with reddish terrain, water and greenery everywhere. In one of these waterfalls of the level, you can cross a side path until you reach a secret cave just behind the waterfall, where there is a file and an old pistol as a collectible.

The game was launched just two weeks ago, but players have scoured the beautiful settings of this remake in search of all the chests and cactolillos. On the Calcinante Dunes stage we find sand everywhere, including a waterfall that hide a treasure chest for those who dare to go through it. Apparently nothing is seen, but the closer you get to her, let us glimpse the hidden secret.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
The waterfalls thing is much older than these mentioned games. Back in 1991, Zelda used this resource (and many others) to keep secrets. The player was always in front of him, but it did not occur to him to cross that place that he had seen so many times before. Behind her there was a pond where a fairy appeared
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The last installment of Zelda was launched 4 years ago and its immense world continues to surprise. If you are still looking for a sanctuary, have you tried looking behind a waterfall? Located in Necluda, the Sanctuary of Daune is hidden, where the player will have to solve a puzzle of chests to reach the altar. You can see where it is hidden in the video from minute 15.
tomb Raider
If anyone understands secrets in nature itself, that is Lara Croft. The first Tomb Raider already showed that Lara would stay with us for a long time. Action, puzzles and of course the water scenes could not be missing in your adventures. So on one of its levels there was a secret passageway behind a waterfall
Super Mario Odyssey
Another great title that came almost from the hand of Nintendo Switch and that hides many secrets or funny easter eggs. Mario has to get all the moons in the levels, but there is one that can only be found behind a waterfall. To do this, you have to enter through a pipeline and the graphics go back in time to a makeshift 2D level of the classic Super Mario. At the end of this great wink is the precious moon.

The classic Nintendo RPG had a unique charm because its protagonists were children instead of heroes and very everyday objects were obtained. There were many scenarios to explore and in one of them a waterfall did not reveal a secret passage. There was really nothing to indicate that there was something there, but if the player approached from the edge, enter a place not without first saying the correct password. In approximately minute 4 you can see what you were in that hidden place.
