Animal Crossing: New Horizons has just passed its biggest opening weekend in the Switch game released in Japan.
According to a report from Geo Corporation (via 4Gamer), the latest work in the Nintendo series sold 1.3 million units in the first three days. Previously, "Pokemon Sword" and "Pokemon Shield" maintained this record, selling 1.3 million units in three days.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the first entry in the series on the Nintendo Switch, and is probably the largest animal crossover to date. The game is based on the concept of a new concept, which is to fill a desert island instead of moving into an existing town. You can customize the island's landscape or use the design of "New Leaf" and "Happy Home Designer" through mobile applications.
Check out our review of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, where Alex Donaldson describes the game as "another Switch victory, which is the most controversial series in the console's Mario and Zelda entries."
