Like most companies, Nintendo has now released its fiscal year 2020 numbers, which ended on March 31. And they confirm what we already know: Animal Crossing: New Horizons has hit like a bomb.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold 11.7 million copies in the first eleven days, according to the report. In total, 13.41 million copies were sold in the first six weeks.
This makes Animal Crossing: New Horizons the strongest switch launch to date, closely followed by Pokémon sword and shield with 12.9 million pieces in the first nine weeks. The game is currently in 7th place for the best-selling switch titles, but this may well change in the coming weeks. As a result, New Horizons quickly overtook the total sales of its predecessor New Leaf
You can beat Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with 24.77 million, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with 18.84 million, Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey with 17.41 million each and Pokemon Sword and Shield with 17, 37 million pieces.
