At the start of Season 2 there is a big free promotion

The new Season 2 of Cold War and Warzone starts with lots of action and free access.

Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War wants to attract new players to Season 2. Right at the start there are therefore several promotions in which you can play for free and level faster. Even the new zombie hordes mode Outbreak is free – at least for a short time.

We have collected all the important information about Free Week and the XP rain in CoD Cold War and Warzone for you.

Play Multiplayer & Zombies for Free

When does the promotion run?

The start is February 25th at 7 p.m., the free week is valid until March 4, also 7 p.m.

What can you play for free? Most of the normal multiplayer and the completely new zombie mode Outbreak are open to you.

• Apocalypse 24/7: In this playlist you will find the new multiplayer map »Apocalypse«, which will transport you to the jungles of Vietnam and Laos. There are Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination and Hardpoint modes.
• Gun Game: A classic mode returns. You start with a pistol, work your way through a rotation of 20 different weapons and end the match with a knife in close combat.
• Outbreak: A new zombie mode in which you don’t fight against time, but instead have to conquer objectives. You are on the road as a squad of up to four players and explore the Russian Ural Mountains while you fight against masses of the undead. The trailer shows you what it looks like:

In addition to these modes, more playlists can be played for free, for example Team Deathmatch and Domination. And of course the Battle Royale Warzone is still available as a Free2Play standalone.

XP-Boosts für Cold War & Warzone

When does the promotion run? Start is on February 26th at 7 p.m., end on March 1st, same time.

What do you get?

Regardless of whether you play in Warzone or Cold War, your accumulated experience points will be doubled. Both the normal XP and the weapon progress – ideal if you want to level up the new weapons of Season 2 right away. If you should decide to buy the game after the free week, your XP will be transferred directly.

What will change with Season 2?

Both Cold War and Warzone get additional content with the new season, such as new weapons and operators. A complete overview and the roadmap can be found here:

In addition to changes for the current CoD titles, the next part is due to be released this year. The title and setting are not yet known, but rumor has it that CoD will play in the 1950s in 2021.
