RPG fans are certainly eagerly waiting for Baldur’s Gate III to finally be finished and to be able to leave Early Access. Obviously, this will take a while.
In a video interview with GameSpot, studio boss Swen Viencke has now confirmed that Baldur’s Gate III will not leave Early Access this year. They’re trying to get the game ready next year, but it certainly won’t be released in 2021.
Larian Studios is apparently working on two construction sites at the moment. On the one hand, of course, it’s about completing the game and producing the missing content. At the same time, the developers are also working on the feedback from Early Access. In the following updates of the Early Access version, more changes and features than new content can be expected.
There was also a statement about a possible game master mode as in Divinity: Original Sin. It would go well with the game, but it is currently not in development. Everything revolves around completing this “beast of a game”.
