Valorant – Preview: DAS will be the next big multiplayer shooter
With its new shooter Valorant, Riot Games goes all out: With a clever key-drop strategy, the developer pushes the viewer numbers up on Twitch. The huge interest also affected the Server stability out.
Now their capacity is to be increased by 25 percent in order to withstand the large crowds. The exact duration of the test phase is still unknown.
Hours of watching for keys
Beta Keys will continue distributed around the clock via Twitch Drops, which is why many fans sit in front of the computer for hours – as they themselves write in the comments. However, some of them have not had the coveted keys for hours or even days.
In a tweet, Riot now admonished the Valorant fans that they to take a break, if you have been sitting in front of the streams for too long:
One week in. A couple notes as we get into the weekend.
1. Drops are running 24/7. If you've watched a lot … take a break! CB access comes even when you're offline.
2. We hear you on demand. We've already increased CB server capacity + 25% and are tracking down more internet.

There is currently no other legal way to get access to the beta – overpriced and illegal offers on eBay should not be accepted because of horrific prices and the danger of ban.
Valorant reached over 1.7 million viewers after the beta was released on Twitch. Of these, however, a significant number should be due to bots. With this method, apparently some users got themselves unfair advantages by increasing their chances of random key drops.
The tactical shooter also struggles with other problems shortly after the beta launch: the first cheaters are here.
