Before succeeding with Borderlands and defining the looter shooter genre, Gearbox showed its good hand in the shootings with the Brothers in Arms saga. Although there is interest in a new installment, in the absence of a new game, Gearbox has announced that it is working on a Brothers in Arms television series alongside Scott Rosenbaum as showrunner.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the production is in its early stages, I would still be looking for directors and a channel to broadcast the series. The first season will count the true story of a squad of 8 soldiers who during the Second World War rescue their colonel after twisting one of the D-Day trials (Landing of Normandy)
"The story we end up using has never been dramatized on television," Rosenbaum said. "Almost 800 American soldiers were killed and it had to be covered up because the Allies were preparing for the true invasion of Normandy."
Randy Pitchford himself, Gearbox boss, would have chosen Rosenbaum to take over the series
At the moment there is no estimated release date for this series inspired by Brothers in Arms. There are still many fringes to close at the production level, plus the subsequent filming and post-rot, it will take patience
