With the start of Season 2, speculation about a Battle Royale mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received new food. An otherwise hidden classified selection option appeared in the menu and new information was found in the game files. The Battle Royale part could therefore be called "Warzone" and should be released soon.
You get a new report from the English-speaking colleagues of VGC Believe, but then – contrary to some other rumors – it will probably not be so far in February. Citing developers, it says on the part VGCthat the Battle Royale mode will probably be released in early March – at least if there are no further delays. Since new content for the shooter is mostly published on Tuesdays, March 10, 2020 is currently the hottest candidate for the release, but this has not yet been officially confirmed.
The report also takes up further speculation about Warzone mode. The Battle Royale part should therefore be available as an independent game, detached from Modern Warfare and also offered free of charge. Nevertheless, there is also a connection to the main part, because Warzone and Modern Warfare should at least share the Battle Pass (currently in Season 2) and enable progress and unlocking together.
We will keep you up to date on further developments and will of course report when Activision finally releases official information about the longed-for Battle Royale mode.
