The Cyberpunk 2077 development team will invest more time in publishing.
Cyberpunk 2077 Developer / publisher CD Projekt called for an emergency press conference to discuss the postponement of Cyberpunk 2077 until September.
During a conference call, an investor asked if this delay meant that the game development team would be forced to deal with it.
"In a way, yes, to be honest," co-CEO Adam Kissinsky replied.
"We try to limit austerity as much as possible, but this is the final stage. In this regard, we try to be reasonable, but it can be. Unfortunately."
Austerity is an industry term that refers to working unreasonably long hours in the weeks or even months before the end of project development. The idea is to maximize the potential of the final release by making developers overwork to do work beyond their health in the same time period.
CD Projekt Red's business experience is boring and he admitted to Kotaku last year that the studio has been working to improve the situation during the development of Cyberpunk 2077 to make it "more humane.
Austerity is by no means unique to CDPR. It is one of the core issues that currently bring game developers together.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 17.
