XP tokens can only be used in MW?
CoD Warzone was originally an integral part of CoD Modern Warfare. In addition to the unlocked weapons and attachments, both titles also share the rewards from the Battle Pass.
These rewards also include the said tokens, which could then be used as boosters both in MW multiplayer and in Warzone.
Now that Warzone is no longer specifically part of MW, the option to use the collected XP tokens in Battle Royale has apparently been removed. MW owners can still redeem the tokens in multiplayer mode.
Are there such XP tokens in Cold War? Yes, in the new Season 1 Battle Pass there are XP tokens that can also be used in Warzone. Of course, this begs the question of why the cold war tokens work in Warzone, but old MW tokens have been rendered unusable.

Since Warzone was published as a separate Free2Play game, many Warzone players do not even have a full version of MW and can therefore no longer access the XP tokens they have collected.
