Cyberpunk 2077 is classified M by the ESRB – News

oriXone May 6, 2020 No Comments

We learn today through the official ESRB website that the Cyberpunk 2077 game will be classified M as Mature in North America.

Unsurprisingly therefore, after the Australian classification system has given the award, it is the ESRB's turn to classify the next flagship production of CD Projekt Red. The game Cyberpunk 2077 will therefore be a game called Mature, and will therefore be aimed at American players aged 17 and over.

Obviously, what is pointed out by the ESRB is the violence of the title, the game allows the use of firearms or hand-to-hand weapons, but also to cross "mutilated corpses with open rib cages "while walking through the city of Night City. As we already knew, Cyberpunk 2077 also contains nudity as well as first person sex scenes. To finish therefore, still to show the decadence of this fictitious city, the title will also include drugs, alcoholic beverages, the player can "drive drunk cars", as well as crude language. In the days to come, therefore, we expect the game to be rated PEGI 18 in our region.

As a reminder, Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on September 17, 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.

Cyberpunk 2077 will also be available on Google Stadia
