Hawkeye fans have recently noticed that the shape of the Cyberpunk 2077 map is closer to a newer version of the Mike Pound Smith desktop RPG.
Cyberpunk 2077 is based on Pound Smith's famous table game, which is already relatively common knowledge, but it is important to remember that Pound Smith's Night City (in which Cyberpunk 2077 will be set) It has been iterating for several years. That's why Redditor Sokk650 recently obtained an image describing the Cyberpunk 2077 map from the CD Projekt Red forum.
The children of CDPRforums finally learned more about what I knew a few months ago, but still didn't realize a fact (not so small). Yes, this is Morro Bay where Cyberpunk is. Yes, space is about 4 to 8 miles (or similar), but that's in real-world space … from cyberpunk games
The issue of scale here is another story entirely. Other Reddit users have spent a lot of time discussing this issue, comparing Night City to Lost Santos of GTA V (though so far, considering that people haven't actually played Cyberpunk, this is relatively speaking Is futile).
For comparison (mod, do n’t do this to me, do n’t tell me anymore, listen to me) Gta V ’s map is next to Los Angeles, and the prominent dot is Los Santos. The space is less than the scale of 5 real world spaces. That's why the night city looks so small. Connect "." Let's stay away from cyberpunk games
So, although size is not necessarily important at this time, the first article linked above is worth investigating for another reason. As Redditor Opfuscapist pointed out in the comments, Pound Smith has created various cyberpunk maps over the years. Two of them are described below. The first is a sketch of Morro Bay about 30 years ago.
As you can see, the latter figure is an improved version of the first figure in which area boundaries are easier to identify. The coastline has also been reprocessed, resulting in an increase in land area north of Nanyecheng.
This newer version helps to illustrate the location of the area in the Cyberpunk 2077 map. South Night City has been replaced by the city center. Technically, the city center should be in its northwestern location. Perfected along the coast again, the "Cyberpunk 2077" map is closer to the second picture shown above than the second picture shown above, while still iterating on the original Pound Smith work.
It's interesting to see how CD Projekt Red differs in its description of Night City, but it's also worth looking at parts that look the same-for example, areas like Pacifica and Heywood seem to be at exactly where they are located version.

We didn't really know the expectations of the Cyberpunk 2077 map until its release later this year, but it's always worth comparing what we have so far with the original.
