Sony is responding to CD Projekt RED’s offer and is now accepting your refunds. The version of Cyberpunk 2077 for the PS4 has meanwhile been completely removed from the PlayStation Store.
Starting today, you can get your refund for the PlayStation 4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 at Sony. The console manufacturer is reacting to CD Projekt RED’s offer to refund dissatisfied players. From now on you can no longer buy the PS4 version via the PS Store. The game had previously turned out to be completely buggy and for many buyers it is not playable on the old consoles.
The Polish developers of CD Projekt RED had just rushed to agree to refund the last-gen version without letting the dealers know about this plan (for the report: Cyberpunk 2077: developer apologizes for last-gen versions + money back). Sony initially refused, but is now pushing a little over the target. You will not only get your money back should Cyberpunk 2077 cause you technical problems, the game was completely removed from the PlayStation 4 store and can no longer be bought there at the moment.
Sony gives the reason for the sudden change in one Press release as follows: “Sony Interactive Entertainment strives for a high level of customer satisfaction, so we are offering a full refund to all players who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 through the PlaySation store. In addition, we will be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from the store until further notice “. The decision was made in dialogue with the developers of the game, Sony also states.
To get your money back, you have to log in to the PS store and the official page for refunds visit. After processing, you should have the Euronen back in your pocket. If you still have the digital version of Cyberpunk 2077 installed on the PlayStation 4, you can continue to play with it after the refund. Physical versions of the game for PS4 are also still available.
