CD Projekt Red can keep its promise: Cyberpunk 2077 has reached a critical phase of development with playtesting and the submission for age classification. And that means one second postponement of the release date is becoming increasingly unlikely becomes.
Cyberpunk 2077 submitted for age rating
For example, behind games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Gwent, Adam Badowski of the developer studio announced that Cyberpunk 2077 had been submitted to the responsible authorities such as USK, PEGI and ESRB for age rating. It is not yet known what age rating CD Projekt is aiming for in Germany – but you can expect USK-18 clearance
Critical playtesting phase reached
Cyberpunk 2077 has also reached the playtesting phase, which means that the technical aspects of role-playing are polished and checked particularly intensively for bugs, glitches or other errors.
Already in January 2020 it was said that Cyberpunk 2077 could be played through from start to finish and CD Projekt Red was entitled to publish a "game as error-free as possible" on September 17, 2020.
We just submitted @cyberpunkgame to age rating agencies around the world (PEGI, ESRB, etc.). While we wait for the game to get rated, we work on polishing technical aspects and playtesting it. Game is looking better and better with each passing day!

Cyberpunk 2077 will probably not be postponed a second time
The fact that Cyberpunk 2077 was submitted for age rating and is now in the playtesting phase suggests that the development of the role-playing game is nearing a foreseeable end. So it seems almost certain that Cyberpunk 2077 will not be postponed a second time – just as CD Projekt Red had already promised.

Why 2020 so many games will be postponed
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on September 17, 2020 for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One – originally the article was supposed to appear in April. Incidentally, this is not the only title that was affected by a release postponement this year: Marvel's Avengers, Watch Dogs Legion, Dying Light 2, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods & Monsters are also coming later than originally planned.
