In the course of June there was more talk of a possible comeback of the horror brand Dead Space. These speculations have now received new fuel.
For a few weeks now it has been said more often on the internet that Electronic Arts wants to revive the Dead Space series. A new part should therefore be created at EA Motive and an announcement is expected from the EA Play Live event on July 22nd.
So far, the speculations have been based primarily on the statements of (in the past very reliable) insiders, who logically did not name their sources. Absolute clarity should therefore only prevail once the EA event has taken place. Nevertheless, the publisher may now have released a small hint that there is something to the rumors.
The reference has its origin in the social media area, because the YouTube channel for the franchise has changed its logo without further ado. That may not be anything special in principle, had it not been for absolutely nothing had happened there for years. After years of inactivity, a logo from Dead Space 3 was emblazoned there until the end – and this came from the beginning of marketing for the last series part published in 2013.
So why should EA change the logo now after years of all times in the run-up to EA Play Live from Dead Space 3 to a generic logo for the horror franchise? If the publisher doesn’t necessarily want to troll us all due to the ongoing speculation on the net, then there could actually be something to the rumors.
Incidentally, there are no new videos or further information on the YouTube channel. We will of course keep you up to date and report if there is an announcement on July 22nd (or even before).
