Hakuna Matata: Disney's The Lion King comes to the cinemas in summer. In the new trailer there is not only reunion with the lion cub Simba, for the first time his already painfully missing two friends Timon and Pumbaa are also playing.
Director Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Jungle Book) brings the many animals from the African savannah to life in the elaborately remodeled film using CGI technology – based on Disney's Oscar-winning animated film from 1994.
The voices of the individual animals take over in the original Donald Glover (Solo: A Star Wars Story) as Simba, Beyonce? (Dreamgirls) as Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange) as Scar, as well as Seth Rogen (Sausage Party) and Billy Eichner (American Horror Story) as Timon and Pumbaa. Only James Earl Jones (Field of Dreams) as Mufasa could already be heard in the cartoon.
Disney's The Lion King arrives in German cinemas on July 18, 2019.
