After all, with the right system, the game puts almost no limits on you. The developer said that the upper FPS limit from Doom Eternal 1000 frames per second lies. The game owes this to a revision of the Engine id Tech 7. In version 6 the upper limit was still 250 FPS. However, it will probably take a few more years until you reach this limit at Doom Eternal on a commercially available system.
Michael Obermeier explains how the shooter plays in our preview video. And although you don't expect it, the game has a very complex story that we have broken down for you.
Doom Eternal will released on March 21, 2020. The PC version is available exclusively for Windows. A port for Linux or Mac is currently not planned. Users of these operating systems can only try to get the game to work with a compatibility level like Wine.
